Sultana Disaster Museum 

January 1 to December 31, 2020 John T. Wayne has graciously agreed to donate his online royalties from Barnes & Noble and Amazon to the Sultana Disaster Museum located in Marion Arkansas. The Sultana Disaster happened on April 27, 1865, this disaster is noted as the greatest maritime disaster in U. S. history.  At least 1,200 passengers and crew lost their lives when three of the steamboat boilers exploded.  The boat  was being used to transport nearly 2,000 paroled prisoners of the Civil War to Cairo, Illinois to then be loaded on a rail train to be sent to Camp Chase near Columbus, Ohio.
